Monday Morning Coffee Break
I had a pretty chill weekend, but managed to catch MGMT at The Riv this weekend. I enjoyed the show, but the owners of the Riv need to find a way to cool that place down. It was hot as shit! I must say that the crowd was really annoying. They stood for the older stuff and sat for the new material for the most part. I love it that they played "Siberian Breaks", the 12 minute opus from Congratulations. You can check out the reviews from the Chicago Tribune & Sun Times. Anyways.... less than one week until I hit the road for my Phish road trip! First stop, Merriweather Post Pavilion on Sunday! Here's some news and a video to get your Monday moving.

Thank Boosh It's Friday!
Today is a really big day! Not only are the Blackhawks having their Stanley Cup celebration (sorry Trey), the World Cup has started, and Phish starts their summer tour! I won't be at the show tonight, but I will see ten shows, so I am not that upset. Bonnaroo kicked off last night and don't forget to check out their webcast schedule. I am working on a new template for the site, so look for some changes.

Tuesday Morning Coffee Break
Since I didn't get to my regular Monday post, I figured I would get it in this morning. I had a good weekend and played my first round of golf in almost 13 years! Last night, I tried BYFUGLIEN & Rotweizen at Goose Island and they both were excellent. It's a crappy morning here in Chicago, but have a cup of coffee, catch your breath. Phish summer tour begins this Friday!!!!

Hump Day Happenings
Last night, I checked out Them Crooked Vultures at the Aragon Ballroom. Aside from Josh Homme getting drunk throughout the show, I really enjoyed the performance. There were times during the two hour set that the energy lacked, but the band brought it most of the night. It's very clear that Dave Grohl is enjoying being out of the limelight and playing drums. It was also a pleasure to watch him own his kit! Here is some news and a video to get you over the hump day known as Wednesday.
- Bobby Womack has some very high praise for Damon Albarn
- Trey Anastasio has a new songwriting partner
- Holy Shit! Pitchfork gave the remastered Exile a perfect 10
- Elvis Costello has canceled to upcoming gigs in Israel

Monday Morning Coffee Break
It's going to be a long week, but by the end of the week, I will know what Phish shows I will be going to this summer. I was able to get two tickets to the now sold-out MGMT show at The Riviera Theatre on June 18. I tried a Burton Bridge Old Expensive Ale, which is currently on the beer engine at Map Room. I hope everyone had a great weekend. Here is some news and a video of the Foo Fighters national television debut back in 1995 to get your Monday moving.

Bonnaroo "Unveiling" Set For February 9
Dave Matthews Band, Jay-Z, Neil Young & GWAR are just a few of the names "rumored" to be appearing at the 2010 incarnation of the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival. The lineup was originally going to be announced today, but looks like we will have to wait another week.
On February 9, there will be a "very special unveiling" for this years Bonnaroo lineup. Tickets will go on sale on the same day as well. You can head over to Consequence of Sound and check out their festival outlook section for the latest rumors.

Bonnaroo Confirms 2010 Dates
Lisa Go Stick It, I Got My Bonnaroo Ticket from Bonnaroo on Vimeo.
The ninth annual Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival will take place from June 10 - 13, 2010 in Manchester, TN. Expect an initial lineup to be announced in late January or early February. A special holiday pre-sale will start on Friday, November 27. The festival organizers will also offer a payment plan for festival goers.
Pavement, Blakroc, Furthur and Them Crooked Vultures are all solid bets for me, but we will just have to be patient and see what the folks AC Entertainment and Superfly Productions have up their sleeve.
