It's been a pretty standard week for me and I am really excited because I have the next two days off!!!! Last night, My Morning Jacket returned to the stage at Alabama Theater in Birmingham, AL. It would have awesome to hear the "One Big Holiday" opener. Check out the setlist compliments of Hidden Track. Here is some news and a video to get your over the hump day known as Wednesday.

Thank Boosh It's Friday!
Last night, Elton John treated fans to set that spanned the prolific song writers entire career. I enjoyed the show, but hoped he would play more off of Tumbleweed Connection. Elton is one hell of a piano player and his music is timeless. If don't own any Elton John records, I suggest you pick up Tumbleweed Connection or Honkey Chateau. Don't forget that Coachella starts tonight and they will be offering a webcast of the weekends festivities. I hope that everyone has a great weekend!

Hump Day Happenings
Coachella, the first big music festival of the season will go down this weekend in Indio, CA. The festival has officially sold out, which isn't surprising considering the lineup is pretty kick-ass! The organizers of both Coachella and Stagecoach took a few tips from Phish and hope to make their festivals even better. Tomorrow, I am going to see Elton John at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates. It should be a fantastic show. Don't forget that SS&S is on Facebook & Twitter.

2010 Coachella Music Festival Lineup
Damn! Give the folks who put together the Coachella Music Festival a BIG hand. They have put together one hell of a lineup for the 11th incarnation of the festival. Jay-Z, Muse and the Gorillaz will serve as the festival headliners. Other acts include Pavement, LCD Soundsystem, Them Crooked Vultures, Faith No More, Hot Chip, Thom Yorke (solo performance), De La Soul and many more.
Tickets go on sale Friday, January 22nd. Layaway tickets for three-day passes and camping are also available through February 15th.
This lineup is so good that I am going to seriously consider going this year. Let me know what you think of the lineup.

Monday Morning Coffee Break
I had a pretty good weekend. I saw Dumpstaphunk phunk it up at Martyr's on Friday. I caught the tail end of the Ragbirds set and their fiddle player, Erin Ziddle can really play. Bears suck, Bulls suck, but the Blackhawks look to be the only hope for Chicago sports at this time. Here is some news to keep your Monday going.
