Thanks to a very aggressive Facebook campaign, the residents of London will be treated to a free "victory" gig by Rage Against the Machine. Jon and Tracy Morter were to determined to keep X-Factor winner Joe McElderry from topping the UK Christmas Charts. They started their campaign to make "Killing in the Name" the top song on the charts. When RATM caught wind of the grassroots campaign, the band jumped on board and promised a free gig if their single "Killing in the Name" was #1
Rage triumphed and the band has kept good on it's promise. Tom Morello and company will descend upon London's Finsbury Park on June 6 for what will surely be an incredible show. The band have asked that Simon Cowell host the event, but chances are he will decline.
