Hump Day Happenings

It's all about game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final tonight in Philly! I will be heading to Goose Island to watch the game and enjoy some good beer. Phish launched a new website a few days ahead of their summer tour kickoff in lovely Bridgeview, IL. I won't be at Toyota Park, but my summer tour will kick off at CMAC in Canandaigua, NY on June 29. Here is some news and a video to get you over the hump day known as Wednesday.

Monday Morning Coffee Break

It was a pretty uneventful weekend for me all around. Wanee Festival and Coachella kicked off the festival season this weekend. I read a tweet last night that said that Phoenix had a bigger crowd than Pavement, which is interesting, but I am still pumped to see Pavement at Pitchfork this year. I hope everyone had a great weekend and here is some news and a video to get your Monday moving.

Monday Morning Coffee Break

  • While lineups for the 2010 summer festivals won't be announced for a few months, the Glastonbury Festival sold out in 12 hours without a single band being announced
  • The LA Times reviewed Thom Yorke's warm up show at The Echoplex in Lost Angeles
  • The Allman Brothers & Widespread Panic joint tour got off to a rough start
  • Pitchfork has pictures from Thom Yorke last night the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles
  • Wilco rocked St. Paul, MN on the second night of their fall tour
Lastly, this is one of the stranger news items to hit the music world. Suspected terrorist Najibullah Zazi purportedly gave a Phish fan a ride to and from the shows at Red Rocks this summer.
