2010 Crossroads Guitar Festival

Eric Clapton has announced that his Crossroads Guitar Festival will return to Toyota Park in Bridgeview, IL on Saturday, June 26.Tickets go on sale February 20 via Ticketmaster at 10 am Central Time (11am EST). All profits from the Festival will benefit The Crossroads Centre in Antigua, a treatment and education facility founded by Clapton for chemically dependent persons. I will not be missing this festival. Check out the killer lineup!

Eric Clapton has announced shows in both Europe and the US, but these aren't your run of the mill shows . Clapton will join forces with Jeff Beck in New York and in Canada in late February. Shortly after that, Clapton will hop on the road with Roger Daltrey for some arena shows in the US. Come spring time, Clapton will find himself in Europe touring with Steve Winwood. I am hoping that Clapton will announce a Chicago show in the near future. Check out the dates here.

Eric Clapton and his band had rented out a studio in 2003, but he didn't have any songs written. He suggested that they record some Robert Johnson songs. They recorded enough songs and Clapton decided to release the project. Later in 2004 a companion project was released, and along with with cuts that did not make the original release, a DVD was included with footage of Clapton performing in the studio.
